About Domestic abuse awareness exhibition
More than 450 people have contributed to a powerful exhibition aimed at raising awareness of abusive relationships.
‘Expression of Freedom’ returns to Leicester’s Highcross from Tuesday, November 25, in a unit on the upper mall next to Boots.
This year’s theme is ‘online violence’ and will include a range of art by young people and survivors of domestic abuse from across the city and county.
‘Inside the phone of a teenage girl’, ‘can you hear me’ and ‘friend wanted’ are the names of just some of the thought-provoking pieces.
In its fourth instalment this year, the exhibition is a collaboration between local artists, Leicestershire County Council’s Family Help Service, Leicester City Council, Highcross, Living Without Abuse, Leicestershire Women’s Aid and Panahghar.
‘Expression of Freedom’ will run at Leicester's Highcross Shopping Centre from Tuesday, 25 November to Wednesday, 10 December, coinciding with the 16 Days of Action Against Gender-Based Violence.
