“Our team is especially proud of this moment—being from Leicester and having hosted our very first food festival here, bringing Eid On Tour to Highcross is a huge feat. It feels like coming home, but on an even bigger scale,” said Bilal Khan, founder of The Halal Food Festival.
A true cultural pioneer, Bilal Khan has deep roots in Leicester’s vibrant scene. With a background in live entertainment, he has hosted some of the world’s biggest stars both in Leicester and globally—including Drake, J. Cole, Sean Paul, Craig David, and many more. “We’re excited to welcome ‘Eid on Tour’ to Highcross the weekend of 28 and 29 June - an event that brings a rich blend of culture, community and culinary delights into the heart of the city.
“As part of Highcross’ ongoing plan to ensure our visitors not only experience great shopping, dining and leisure experiences, but that we also have a vibrant calendar of events for them to enjoy throughout the year. ‘Eid on Tour’ is another example of how we’re continuing to re-energise Highcross. This year’s event is a real celebration of Leicester’s identity and heritage, and we can’t wait to experience the atmosphere it brings to the centre.”
